Was Daal's new master a known species or an original for this story?

Almost all of the episodes have new/original stories and characters that wont connect anywhere in the movies. They are only inspired by the original movies.

That ended on a dark note but not as dark as how I was imagining it.

well, imagine that girl abandoned her friends, killed a sith only to get off the planet and become one that would go on to slaughter countless people, so it is quite dark, because it wont be as good of a life she thinks she will experience in the end
